A monthly Austrian business magazine reported in its latest issue that Austrian Post invested EUR 250m to acquire a further 50% stake in the Turkish parcel services provider Aras Kargo. This published amount is false.  

The purchase price for the 25% shareholding in Aras Kargo acquired in 2013 totaled about EUR 50m. Austrian Post also has a call option in 2016, stipulating the right to acquire a further 50% of Aras Kargo on the basis of its business results in the 2015/16 financial year. Aras Kargo’s annual revenue in 2014 amounted to EUR 250 million.
